The Worm

by Keola Kahaulelio

In the spring the worms come up from the ground.

People running all through the town.

In spring the worms are as fat as anything.

And the worms think they're king.

When they are eating you could hear the sound.

People say that worms are nouns.

When I saw a worm on the grass.

I picked it up and took it to class.

I keep on thinking how worms hear.

Because they don't have an ear.
